I recently began taking trapeze lessons at a local trapeze school and have found them not only exciting, but physically and mentally challenging. My new blog will document my experiences.
Trapeze Class Part 1 - The Decision
I took my first lesson with a group of people from work at the beginning of this past December 2008. It was a fairly last minute decision to tag along and I am so thankful I did. My hesitation at joining the group stems back to a fairly intrusive shoulder surgery only a year ago followed by 6 months of physical therapy. I was given the OK to return to all my activities but understandably, I think, I've been somewhat hesitant. I do have limited movement in my right shoulder and occasional pain. I waffled a bit at the idea of challenging my newly constructed arm to trapeze (of all things) but what a come back it would make... So almost a year to the day of my surgery, I hopped in the cab and headed to trapeze class - stomach full of butterflies!
